Cindy Sanyu splits with Omega 256 over collaboration revenue dispute

Cindy Sanyu and Omega 256 have officially split and are no longer on good working terms following a bitter dispute over the revenue and recognition from their hit collaboration song, "See You Tonight".

The Core of the Dispute

According to local entertainment reports from MBU, the fallout centers on unhonored financial agreements and recognition:

The Agreement: Both Ugandan artists initially agreed to treat the track as an equal joint project. They signed a revenue-sharing agreement allocating a 50/50 split on all generated royalties.

The Breach: Out of kindness, Cindy allowed the song to be uploaded entirely to Omega 256's personal YouTube channel to help boost her platform. However, once distribution earnings started rolling in, Cindy claims the agreed terms were violated, with Omega taking 60% of the revenue and leaving her with only 40%.

The Ownership Claim: Cindy also claims that despite the song belonging to her, Omega 256 went ahead to claim sole ownership of the project and its distribution.

While the two were known to be close friends prior to the track's release, this financial and creative disagreement has effectively ended their professional relationship.
