The UCU Lady Canons successfully defended their FASU Afro Varsity 3×3 title.

Yes, the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Canons successfully defended their Federation of African University Sports (FASU) Afro Varsity 3×3 Championship title. They completed a dominant, undefeated campaign at the 8th edition of the tournament held at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. 

Tournament Highlights:

The Grand Finale: The Lady Canons dismantled Kenya's United States International University (USIU-Africa) with a convincing 21–15 victory in the final.

Historic Milestone: This marks their third consecutive FASU 3×3 title and their fourth continental championship overall (winning in 2021, 2024, 2025, and 2026).

The Winning Roster: The undefeated quartet was comprised of Martina Anyango, Shillah Lamunu, Sylvia Nakituuka, and Zoe Atek.

Road to the Final: UCU topped Pool B by defeating Nigeria's Afe Babalola University and the University of Abuja. They then rolled through the knockouts, beating Kenya's Kisii University (14–8) in the quarter-finals and Nigeria's Obafemi Awolowo University (16–7) in the semi-finals.
