Ministry of health confirms a rise in Ebola cases of 15 cases.



 Uganda's Ministry of Health has officially confirmed six new cases of Ebola, raising the national total to 15 confirmed infections in the ongoing outbreak.The latest updates regarding the health emergency outline the current situational data, the active containment response, and the regional context of the virus.


Status Outbreak and National Ebola Confirmed Cases:
15 infections recorded since the outbreak was declared in May.

Active Hospitalisations: 12 patients are currently admitted to specialised treatment facilities.

Recoveries & Discharges: 2 patients have successfully recovered and been discharged from care.

Fatalities: 1 confirmed death has been recorded in the country so far.

Current Outbreak Statistics

Contact Tracing: Health authorities are actively monitoring 668 contacts linked to known patients. 

Transmission Source: All six new cases were discovered within established contact networks among individuals already being monitored.

Early Reporting: The Uganda Ministry of Health advises anyone exhibiting Ebola-like symptoms (such as sudden fever, fatigue, muscle pain, vomiting, or diarrhea) to report immediately to the nearest health facility to maximize survival chances.

Surveillance Measures: Public health teams have intensified contact tracing, active surveillance, and community awareness campaigns to prevent wider local transmission.
