Mengo Sports Minister Henry Serwanga demands profetinalsm in the Masaza Cup 2026 takeoff

Uganda Kingdom's Minister for Youth, Sports and Arts, Oweekitiibwa Robert Serwanga Ssalongo, has demanded absolute professionalism, early preparation, and strict discipline from all team managers, delegates, and fans ahead of the Masaza Cup 2026 kickoff.

Demands for Professionalism and Early Prep:

During the official Masaza Cup 2026 delegates conference and tournament draws held at Bulange, Mengo, Minister Serwanga tasked representatives from all participating counties (Masaza) to step up their administrative standards.

Early Preparations: Teams must immediately secure skilled technical personnel and organize structures early to match the tournament's rapid growth.

Skilled Management: Organizers emphasized that the Masaza Cup has reached an advanced level where managers, coaches, medical staff, and security heads must utilize specialized expertise to remain competitive.

Zero Tolerance for Hooliganism

A key pillar of the Minister's directive is the total elimination of fan chaos and indiscipline, which previously marred a few select fixtures in past editions.

Strict Accountability: Teams whose fans engage in violence or hooliganism before, during, or after matches will face severe consequences.

Focus on Value: The tournament is designed to nurture talent, create employment, and foster unity, which should not be jeopardized by reckless behavior.
